• Settings now says exactly what Macaroom sends over the internet: the update check and, about once a week when you're online, the license check.

• License keys. Your key appears straight after checkout and by email; paste it into Macaroom once on each Mac. One key works on all your Macs.
• The example data works without a key, so you can look around first.
• Lost your key? Get it again at getmacaroom.com/download.

• Updates now download in the background and install the next time Macaroom quits. The download button beside Settings installs one straight away. You can turn this off in Settings.
• Fixed: Install and Relaunch, and quitting, did nothing while Settings or another panel was open.

The first release.

• Splits System Data and the rest of your disk into around 30 named sources, grouped by what's safe to clear.
• Explains what each source is and what happens if you clear it.
• Worth a look: compares each scan with the last one, so you see what grew and roughly when the disk will be full.
• Untouched projects: finds node_modules, Rust target, Swift .build, Python venvs, Gradle, CocoaPods, Next.js and Xcode build data in projects you haven't changed in months.
• Moves what you choose to the Trash, with one-click restore, and can delete just those items for good.
• A menu bar panel, an optional weekly check and a low space alert.
• Updates itself. Runs on Apple silicon and Intel Macs with macOS 14 or later.
