Macaroom measures files itself, so its totals won't match Apple's categories to the gigabyte. For Photos, Messages and iCloud options, Macaroom sends you back to the right setting.
Explanations
It tells you what you'd lose.
Size alone doesn't tell you what's safe to remove. Every source comes with what it is, what happens if you clear it, and whether Macaroom will do it for you.
Caches apps rebuild are marked Rebuildable. Your own things are marked Personal data. Anything an app manages, like Photos or Messages, is left to that app, with the setting that cleans it properly.

Nothing is selected for you. Macaroom moves what you choose to the Trash, and only deletes it for good if you ask.
- You choose. Tick what you're done with, then read the plan, grouped by what removing it means.
- Macaroom checks again. Just before moving, it confirms each item is the one it scanned, and skips anything whose app is open.
- You can undo. Trash activity lists every move, and one click puts an item back where it was.

Straight answers about what Macaroom does and doesn't touch.
Could Macaroom delete something important?
Macaroom only moves items you've selected, and only to the Trash. Photos, Mail, Messages, app data and folders Macaroom can't identify can't be selected at all. Before each move, Macaroom checks item identity and known running apps. Folder contents can change after scanning; review your selections carefully.
Why don't Macaroom's numbers match Storage settings?
Macaroom measures every file itself and groups it by the app or tool that made it. macOS uses its own categories and counts some space, like local snapshots, differently. Macaroom's totals are for finding what's there, not for matching Apple's figure to the gigabyte.
Why does it ask for Full Disk Access?
macOS hides Messages, Mail and device backups from every app unless you allow Full Disk Access. Macaroom works without it and tells you what it couldn't see. With it, Macaroom still reads only file names, sizes and dates.
Will I get the space back straight away?
Not until you empty the Trash. Macaroom shows free space before and after, so you can see what actually changed.
Is there a free trial?
The demo on this page is the whole app with example data, so you can try every screen first. After buying, if Macaroom isn't right for you, ask for a refund within 7 days.
How do I get the app after paying?
Checkout is handled by Stripe. As soon as the payment goes through, the confirmation page shows your download link, and Stripe emails you a receipt. Open the ZIP and drag Macaroom to Applications.
Do I pay again for updates?
No. Every update to Macaroom 1 is included in the one payment.
Do I need a license key?
No. You pay once and download the app. There's nothing to activate, and you can use it on all your Macs.
How do I get help or a refund?
